Abstract: Augmented reality application is not a novel approach, it has become considerable in recent years with the advent of applications and data fusion from different visual sources. In this paper we present a novel mobile augmented reality system for optical artificilal radiation identification and measurement. The system has been realized to help experts (both medical doctor and engineer) according to European Directive 2006/25/EC (Occupational health and safety). An innovative tracking system, based on image retrieval paradigms, has been used in images registration
